MEASURES OF DEVELOPING SKILLS FOR STUDENTS OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE FACULTY, HUNG VUONG UNIVERSITY

Abstract

In the current trend of globalization and deep international integration, foreign languages play an important and key role in the development of integration, the experience of many developed countries above shows that foreign languages are a prerequisite is an effective means in the process of integration and development. Presently, researching on skill development with specific training subjects at Vietnamese universities is currently a popular trend. From the perspective of applied research, the study has proposed 6 measures to develop necessary skills for students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Hung Vuong University, in order to contribute to improving the quality of training and meeting the requirements of the volatile labor market, which are: (i) Renovate and develop training programs towards skills integration; (ii) Build and develop teaching staff up to their duties; (iii) Complete the system of textbooks and documents; (iv) Innovate teaching methods towards integrating skill development; (v) Innovate the methods of testing and assessment towards the approach of capacity and skills; (vi) Enhance the practice and extracurricular activities for students.
