DECORATIVE ART ON BRONZE BELLS AT SOME VILLAGE PAGODAS IN HUE CITY

Abstract

Village pagodas have an important role and position in the spiritual life of people in Hue city. Through many historical changes, many valuable treasures in the pagoda were damaged and lost, but most of the village pagoda bells are still carefully preserved and maintained by the people. Pagoda bells are not only religious instruments but also works of art and sculpture, bearing information about the era, history, culture, doctrine, characteristics of each period... they are treasures in the treasury of Vietnamese cultural heritage. The article mentions the decoration system on bronze bells at some pagodas in the countryside of Hue city, with unique features, creating a distinct mark, serving as the basis for building image data and vector data for research and application
