APPLYING HO CHI MINH’S THOUGHT IN DEVELOPING SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION IN HO CHI MINH CITY: CURRENT SITUATION AND SOLUTIONS

Ho Chi Minh’s ideology emphasizes the important role of science, technology and innovation in the country’s development, considering it a key driving force to promote industrialization and modernization. Ho Chi Minh City has actively implemented programs to support the startup and science, technology and innovation ecosystem, developing high-tech research centers and investing in strategic areas such as biotechnology, artificial intelligence and smart cities. However, for science, technology and innovation to truly become a top national policy, research shows that it is necessary to improve mechanisms and priority policies, increase synchronous investment in science, technology and innovation infrastructure, improving human resource quality and expanding international cooperation. This not only ensures sustainable development but also affirms Vietnam’s position in the global knowledge economy
