MICE TOURISM IN THANH HOA: POTENTIAL, CURRENT STATUS AND DEVELOPMENT ORIENTATION

Thanh Hoa, with its favorable geographical location, is considered a locality with great potential for tourism development in general and MICE tourism in particular, where many famous landscapes, historical and cultural relics converge, and at the same time, has technical facilities and infrastructure that meet the requirements of the domestic and foreign MICE tourism service industry. In particular, in the Thanh Hoa Tourism Development Strategy to 2025, with a vision to 2030, the province has identified the goal of developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector. In recent years, from the province's outstanding investment attraction policies, many infrastructure projects, high-class entertainment and resort areas, and large-scale conference centers have been developed to meet the needs of tourists participating in this type of tourism. However, MICE tourism in Thanh Hoa has not yet had a worthy position in the province's tourism product system. Therefore, this research will focus on assessing the potential and current status of MICE tourism development in Thanh Hoa province in the past time as a basis for proposing tasks and solutions to develop this potential type of tourism in the coming time
