PRESERVING AND PROMOTING LOCAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE TAY ETHNIC GROUP IN TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN CAO BANG PROVINCE

Abstract

In the specific conditions of the natural and social environment, each ethnic group develops its own wealth of knowledge. The Tay ethnic community in Cao Bang province has a highly diverse and rich local knowledge about farming, traditional crafts, costumes, festivals, literature and art,... Each local knowledge has its own role and plays an important role in the economic, cultural and social development of the community. Preserving and promoting local knowledge of the Tay ethnic group is a way to utilize the potential and advantages, enrich the resources for the development of the province in the new period. The article focuses on identifying some basic local knowledge of the Tay ethnic group in Cao Bang province and proposes solutions to promote the local knowledge of the Tay people in tourism development in Cao Bang province.
