PERCEPTION OF STUDENTS SPECIALIZING IN CHINESE LANGUAGE ABOUT CHINESE NAMING CULTURE - THE CASE OF HUNG VUONG UNIVERSITY
Abstract
As an important component of traditional Chinese culture, the Chinese fullname culture has always been highly valued by linguistic and cultural researchers. The name is not only a symbol representing a person, but also a reflection of the economic, social, customs, habits, family concept, life values, ideals... of an era, a country, a nation. Therefore, full name, especially “name” has a very deep cultural connotation. For Vietnamese students and learners majoring in Chinese language, learning about the cultural connotations in Chinese names is also a must-have topic. From the perspective of applied linguistics, on the basis of scientific theory and practice, by means of investigation, survey, statistics, analysis and synthesis, the article clarifies the perception of students majoring in Chinese language, Hung Vuong University on Chinese naming culture, laid a scientific foundation for solutions and recommendations on teaching and learning Chinese in Vietnam, contributing to improving the quality of teaching, specialized research.
