THE PRESERVATION, EXPLOITATION AND PROMOTION OF THE WORLD CULTURAL VALUES OF THE HO DYNASTY CITADEL LINKED WITH TOURISM DEVELOPMENT NOWADAYS
Abstract
The Ho Dynasty Citadel, a unique and large scale architectural work in Vietnam, is the only one remaining in Southeast Asia in the late 14th and early 15th centuries. It is also one of the few remaining stone citadels in the world. With unique historical and cultural values, the Ho Dynasty Citadel was recognized as a world cultural heritage in 2011, then recognized as the top of the twenty one most outstanding and greatest heritages in the world. The preservation, exploitation and promotion of the values of the Ho Dynasty Citadel have been paid much attention by relevant organs for years. However, it has been not effective enough to match the unique values of this heritage, especially in tourism development. So the article evaluated the preservation, exploitation and promotion of the values of the Ho Dynasty Citadel in recent years. Since then, some solutions were proposed to improve the efficiency of the preservation, exploitation and promotion of the values of the Ho Dynasty Citadel linked with tourism development nowadays.
