Trong những năm qua, với sự quan tâm của Đảng và Nhà nước, các chủ trương, chính sách đã được ban hành nhiều trên tất cả các lĩnh vực của đời sống của đồng bào nói chung, đồng bào các dân tộc tỉnh Hà Giang nói riêng, trong đó việc quan lý nhà nước về công tác dân tộc, chính sách dân tộc triển khai trên địa bàn tỉnh đã đạt được nhiều kết quả quan trọng, góp phần vào phát triển kinh tế-xã hội của cả nước và toàn tỉnh. Tuy nhiên, bên cạnh những kết quả đạt được thì vấn đề quản lý nhà nước về công tác dân tộc, chính sách dân tộc vấn còn hạn chế, chưa đáp ứng được quá trình phát triển chung hiện nay. Do vậy, cơ quan quản lý nhà nước về công tác dân tộc các cấp cần tìm ra những giải pháp đồng bộ, với những bước đi thích hợp cho từng vùng, từng dân tộc, thiết thực phát triển kinh tế-xã hội trên địa bàn tỉnh là vấn đề cần tiếp tục nghiên cứu trong giai đoạn hiện nay.
